Johns’ Place will hold 125 people inside using a buffet line and 140 if served at tables. 140 guests however, will not allow for dancing without moving tables.
There is a complete kitchen which can be used for warming and cleaning only, unless a licensed caterer is hired and additional money for use is paid. Gas appliances, especially commercial, are dangerous to use unless you are familiar.
Everyone loves decorations! Nevertheless, we must limit them to those that do not need to be nailed or screwed into the walls. We want to keep Johns’ Place as nice for the next renter as for you.
We have tractor rides! The old refurbished 1959 Case tractor is set up to pull a custom made trailer which can seat 24 guests. The rides last about 45 minutes staying on the property. The cost is $150.00 for 3 hours with additional time of 1 hr. for $50.00 each. This ride depends on driver availability.
Johns’ Place has horseshoes, botchee ball, large trailer mounted BBQ, and a fire pit available in the cost of the rental. For the BBQ, you will need to supply firewood which is available for cutting around the property. Please come out before your event to cut and stack.
We have included many great vendors that will make our event the talk for years to come. Please visit that page. These are local folks from bands to catering, florists and coordinators. All are familiar with Johns’ Place and love the venue.
There is a bar area for your use as well as stage for a band. The stage has room for 6 band members, the overhead strobe light for dancing are controlled from the stage.
The bar has a small ice machine and refrigerator, the kitchen has a large 300#/day ice maker also for your use.
As much as we would like, we cannot predict the weather or power outages. Although we haven’t lost power for any length of time for a long while, it does and can happen. Please plan your event keeping in mind that we did have 37” of snow December 2008, where power was lost in our area for 14 days. We cannot refund payments due to “Acts of God”.
Johns’ Place, although only 8 miles from the city of Duvall, we in “the woods” can be tough to find; so we offer sandwich board type signs that can be placed in easily seen spots beginning from the town of Duvall to the location site (since no one wants to leave to find the “lost” party). We do however; require that you purchase the required stencil if you wish the signs. All can be done on-line at www.stencilease.com; order 24” wide X 5” continuous letters. There is room for 2 lines. Make sure you purchase continuous stencils. The cost is about $20.00 and can be delivered in 10 days. Please ask if you have any questions.
We have ample parking, all on site, many spaces for those needing to be close.
Johns’ Place also has RV parking available, some with power and water, available at no charge. Please ask your Johns’ Place agent for specifics.
